The students are able to recognize some Christmas words (Santa Claus—圣诞老人,reindeer—驯鹿,sleigh—雪橇,candy cane—糖果,gingerbread—姜饼,gift—礼物,bell—铃,Christmas tree—圣诞树, wreath—花环,candle—蜡烛) in Chinese. Performance task—What will students do to show what they have learned? The students will find the right word card according to teacher’s instruction. The students play Bingo, memory game or Pictionary about Christmas words. The students will finish the project Christmas fortune-tellers.

The students are able to say 6 common American foods in Chinese—sandwich, hamburger, cheese, salad, sausage and bread. The students are able to use “this is…” and pictures of foods to introduce them in Chinese.
