1. The goal of my capstone project is to introduce elements of the Chinese Culture to all Batesville Primary School students and community members through a big celebration of the Chinses New Year hosted by our Mandarin Dual Language Immersion students. remember important Chinese New Year traditions and some cultural taboos 2. know and demonstrate some important Chinese Spring Festival celebration practices such as Chinese paper-cutting; writing Red Couplets with Chinese brush pen and paste them on the wall in the correct way, making paper lanterns; making red envelopes and practice putting money in them according to Chinese traditions; try on traditional Chinese clothes.
